cinnamon girl...

a dreamer of pictures...
...i we'll run in the night...'ll see us together...
...chasing dancing and singing in the moonlight...
~ miss cinnamon and blue, i love you! ~

i love {to hug} my cinnamon girl!

Neil, i changed the words...just a little...
your old tune is now a lullaby.

blogging in the dirt... is it too early for heavy metal?

when it's raining,
one does a little bit of indoor gardening.
i'm pinning... and... placing pretty white photo corners on ...
...Cal's garden doilies.
she makes her handmade lace with a blow torch!

a tiny basket bouquet...

a May basket does not have to be a
major project. it's always fun to make do with what
you have around the house.

:: paper doilies
:: ribbon
:: stickers
:: dried bay leaf
(and...the afterthought...lavender.)

here we go...
just 3 minutes per basket...

i DOUBLED the doilies for extra strength.
after the photos i  made some little bundles
of lavender to tuck inside the doilies...

they became an instant!

happy May day, dearest of dears!

mother's keepsake box series...finding Sally...

inside the box that my mother gave me was this little windowpane
check linen towel with the image of a dog embroidered on it.
i recognized it, immediately!

she gave me Sally! Sally was my mom's very first dog!
 she was a Scotch Terrier.
when my mom was about 5 years old, her mother taught her how to embroider.
mom chose Sally's image for her first sampler piece.
this weekend, i washed and pressed the sweet keepsake.
for now Sally shall reside on the Kitchen Aid. she is 76 years old and
very happy in her new home outside of the box!
